THE ARTS MEAN JOBS IN MONTANA

American Recovery & Reinvestment in the Arts
(ARRA) 2009 Grants through
the National Endowment for the Arts,
Montana Arts Council and
the Western States Arts Federation

ARRA grants focus entirely on the preservation of jobs in the arts. This is a competitive process with one-time only funding.

A Montana nonprofit 501(c)(3) ARTS organization or unit of state, local or tribal government whose program has the arts as a core part of its mission AND have received funding from the Montana Arts Council (MAC) or the Cultural and Aesthetics Trust between July 1, 2005 and May 1, 2009, or been approved for funding in the 2010-11 Cultural Trust cycle, may apply for a MAC and/or WESTAF ARRA grant provided they meet the criteria.

Funding may only be used for the retention or restoration of jobs and/or independent contractor fees that are in jeopardy due to the economic downturn. Applicants may request a minimum of $5,000 and up to $25,000 (no match required). This is an online application process.

The deadline to apply was Tuesday, June 30, 2009.
